The Birchwood Karate Club, run by Sensei John Gillespie, is a part of the English Shotokan Karate Association. The club is welcoming and family-friendly, open to all, regardless of age and ability.

Karate is as much about fun as discipline: the club likes to keep the social side active and develop skills in class.
